4 Steps to Exercise Spiritual Discernment while Anchoring Your Intentions for the New Year.

As we are preparing to welcome in 2023 it is common practice to create vision boards, set out our goals, create affirmations, release what didn’t work, and welcome in new intentions and milestones for the year ahead.

While we are setting these intentions it is pivotal to recognize, and to align to, the vibration of that intention.

I have been witnessing, however, a dark thread weaving through the luxury industry that is often at the center of our vision boards, and that many of us may be choosing to turn a blind eye too, or are completely unaware of.

It is this hidden vibration that I wish to raise awareness to today, as well as sharing 4 steps in order to exercise, and maintain, spiritual discernment to be sure our intentions and desires for the New Year are actually anchored in love and peace, for all.

Before we dive into this let's quickly head back to the basics as a common predicament that can occur with intentions is focusing more on what we don't have, versus what we do, so first,

I wish to define what abundance actually is;

True abundance is not about materialism. It's about a mindset, a state of being and a choice to live in that state regardless of your circumstances.

It's choosing to be grateful for all you have in life instead of focusing on what you don't have—even if that means asking yourself every day "What did I do today that made me happy?"

The number one goal for every human being should be to be able to choose their happiness over their bank account balance or social status. The reason so many people aren't happy is because they've chosen money as an idol—and this idea manifests itself in many ways in our culture today:

  • Social media platforms like Instagram are designed to make us feel bad about ourselves so we'll buy things (or post them online). This creates an endless cycle of self-judgement which leads us down an unhealthy path both physically and mentally;

  • Our economy is structured around consumerism which feeds off of our desire for more stuff;

I watched a movie the other day called Tomorrowland that was released in 2015. In this movie, in a different dimension overlapping ours was an antenna that was projecting what was thought to be the future – one of ultimate destruction due to humanity’s selfishness. However, the characters realized it wasn’t projecting truth, it was amplifying a possibility and broadcasting it over and over again in such a strong vibration until our dimension eventually accepted it as fact, believed in it, and as such caused it to occur.

Right now in Hollywood the elite luxury brand Balenciaga released their newest campaign in which was clearly promoting child pedophilia. This is clearly not the first time such instances have occurred as there is so much satanic and demonic symbolism and ritualistic connections behind these elite brands and companies.

When we consume these products, while we may think we are playing in the field of abundance, of luxury, of gratitude, secretly we can be playing in, and perpetuating, their vibratory field of destruction and greed.

It is important to remember, we are not fighting a war these days of flesh and blood, but of spirituality. Ephesians 6:12 states, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

How then do we go about achieving our goals, enjoying our life here on this earth and the bounty it provides, while still maintaining a high vibration anchored in God’s love?

The first step to exercise spiritual discernment in our intentions is prayer.

Phillipians 4:6-7 states, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

The second important step is developing your connection with God and the Holy Spirit, maintaining open and honest communication with them at all times.

In our world today there seems to be a disconnection from God causing many people to feel lost or confused about themselves because they have not taken time out of their busy schedules to reflect on what they believe in their hearts yet still make choices based on logic instead of faith (Proverbs 3:5-6).

The third step is to become an observer of your thoughts, actions, and desires. Often times we desire certain objects out of jealousy, greed, pride, or even to fulfill a void from trauma, rather than healing the trauma itself first. In all of our intentions and goals it is important to ask ourselves questions like “What emotions or feelings does this situation/person/thing evoke? Is it coming from love or jealousy anger deceit?” Or “How does this situation affect society overall?" These questions will help us evaluate whether our choices align with what is truly good for everyone involved.

The fourth step is to live in love and gratitude.

It is so important to heal and ground our hearts in God’s love, to focus on what really matters over material things, for as Matthew 6:21 states, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

And looking towards Romans 12:21, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”, while it is important to be aware of these circumstances that are occurring we must not let them disempower ourselves, or harden our hearts, but to push forward in love all the more.

So with our New Year’s goals am I stating that we must give up our desires entirely? That we can never have luxury goods?

No. But we need to be conscious of the vibrational forces, the entities that are at play behind these elite brands, and ensure that we not falling victim to their plots, being careful of where our heart and intentions lie when moving forward with our desires.

If you desire to dive further into this subject you can read a prior blog I wrote about abundance, manifestation, and God's desires for us here.

I would like to note even that there are so many smaller designers sprouting up on sites like Etsy with incredible, luxury offerings whom are so grateful for support instead of purchasing from these established higher-end brands.

There is also the option of purchasing vintage, second-hand, luxury brands if you are really drawn to their style. There is no specific right or wrong I simply ask that you look within, connect, and trust in your own Divine Truth.

Essentially if we are to succeed, to achieve our goals in this world of spiritual warfare, it is important to become conscious of external forces, and to recognize the personal, inner shifts that must occur which all contribute towards the collective transformation.

We need to be aware of how our current patterns of thought and behavior define our relationship with God and others in the world around us.

And finally we need to ensure we are exercising spiritual discernment all the more as we step into 2023 in order to really claim our true, divine destiny, anchored in genuine abundance.
